poutnik 1 Posted December 14, 2006 I was planning to shoot the mountain in the sunset colors, the wholeday was almost clear sky, with just the right amount of clouds. Butduring our climb for this view, the sky turned really dark and itlooked like a storm was coming. No chance to fulfill our plans, onlythis shot was the result... henrimanguy 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Perhaps it was your only shot of the day but what shot! I could'nt say it was a wasted day. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Beautiful image! Great lighting against that ominous sky. Very good composition. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted December 21, 2006 Jiri, you captured the mountain in a beautiful transient light. I like how the cloud shapes partly copy the silhouette of the mountain. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
poutnik 1 Posted December 21, 2006 Thanks all for the kind comments. No, Henri, it was not the only shot from the day, I made also some others I quite like while climbing up the hill we were on (Monte Piano). I'll finish them in due time and present them later. Also, as this particular day was a bit of (weather) disappointment, we came back for a sunrise and that was really worth the effort (waking up at 5 am, climbing a mountain trail in complete darkness for almost an hour). I only hope it won't take too long till I finish my photos (have so many to prepare and so much distractions :-)... Jiri Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted December 25, 2006 It has a fine crispness to it and looks very 3 dimensional because of the lighting. Also, good work with 160S. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 8, 2007 As David said, great spatiality and superb light. A perfect mountainscape, I can only say, hats off. It was worth every effort. Link to comment
