This shot was taken March 10, 2002 at a favourite ski location in

the Purcell mountains of South eastern BC, Canada. We found a small

cliff and i hung out underneath it and waited for the light to

come. As is often the case with sports photography (or any

photography) the light never came and we were getting cold so orion

just went. I shot this with colour slide film (provia 100f pushed

to 200) but the lack of nice light hindered the shot. Fortunately

it looked cool as a duotone (black and white with blue tint). I

hope it makes you want to ski!

Wow, great picture. I just think, that the huge black frame is disturbing.

I agree that the frame totally distracts from the picture. It is also burned out and would have needed more creful exposure.

Having tried a bit of ski photography I appreciate this shot. Very well captured.
