dave_dube 10 Posted December 12, 2006 Well done Andrea! I realize the dof wasn't able to keep the lower part of the leave in focus, if it had, it would be nice to see the total outline of the leaf.Regarless, well done. Dave Link to comment
john serafin 0 Posted December 12, 2006 ... Nice composition, it kind of "flows". Well done! Link to comment
andrea allison 0 Posted December 12, 2006 Your right Dave I think it would of had a nicer flow to it, if the lower part was more in focus. The weather has been so bad here lately. I have been taking shots of things around the house. This was a interesting leaf though, or maybe I was getting bored haha. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted December 14, 2006 I like the play of subtle lighting here & the colours of red & green against the black bg is excellent. Link to comment
romeyer.jp 0 Posted December 16, 2006 Very good shot, Andrea ! beautiful colors and great texture, perfect lighting...focus problem on the bottom is not easy to solve, it highly depends on the lens capacity (and the one you have used here will probably not allow any better result), as DOF is quite short on macro...good job! joekonz 0 Posted March 24, 2007 Very nice arrangement here -- the colors, the variagation in the foliage, the curves and the background. I lean toward those wishing for the sharper foreground, but it doesn't take a thing away from the beauty. Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Andrea, this is simplicity and beauty at its best. I like the soft focus on the tip as it makes my eye look for something sharper, so, I climb the ladder of veins up to the focused center and continue past the powdery red on the left and finally ascend on up to the backlit top of the leaf and see its fragile transluecency (is that a word), which at this point makes it more than a leaf. Don't know how I missed this one before. Of course, your frame color and treatment are very complimentary. Kirk Link to comment
