I like this thunderbolt a lot!! Thunderbolt always looks fine!

Chad--VERY nice shot here...I'm a big fan of this one! You did a great job of capturing the lightning bolt. What I feel really makes the picture great is the blue/purple sky--I think it really works well with the lightning and gives you a great overall shot. If I were going to change anything about this shot I would probably vote to move your camera to the right a bit to get rid of some of that tree (on the left) and also show more of that blue/purple sky (you could probably crop this into a nearly square format and get rid of some of black to the left...I don't think you should get rid of all of it or even half of it but I do think you'd improve the shot a bit if you could make the lightning a more prominent portion--I do love the "feathery" branches from the tree that stick out into the sky). In the end I realize how difficult it is to have a great composition and scenery along with a great lightning shot so I admit I'm being picky and just giving you "food for thought." Please just take my comments as ideas to toy around with--the bottom line is that this is a very pleasing shot. Congratulations on some great work--I'd honestly love to have this one in my portfolio!
