Guest Guest Posted December 9, 2006 I would like to see the bottom of his foot that is cut off. Also if the plant weren?t growing out of his Santa hat, maybe to the side of him, it would be a better composition. I like the color. Link to comment
awhitt99 0 Posted December 9, 2006 The framing is ok, if you like that sort of thing, well done at least. If this is to go to print and be framed for real, I find that this kind of framing done on the image is very distracting. I could see this in print with a black mat in a silver or black frame. The selective coloring is well done, not the most original thing, but hey, its a portrait of a kid for christmas. The overall tonal quality is muddy though. There is no true white or true black in this, it needs some tonal work. I'll work on this a little bit, then post another comment with an attatchment of what I'm talking about. Link to comment
awhitt99 0 Posted December 9, 2006 Here's my corrections. The white on the hat is blown out a little bit, but I only thought of the skin tones and did a very quick fix. Link to comment
