dusty2004 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Hello Mike. No doubt about it. This is a fiery image. To give your image a little more depth it pays to have something in the foreground. A clump of reeds or a little of the foreshore for instance. Cheers. Link to comment
sobie 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Yes, I do agree. Unfortunately, there was no foreground to use, I waded out into the freezing water just so I could get some of the sky. The most I could do, was to get some more water in the shot, but I didn't want to lose any of the sky. Thank you for taking time to comment. Most appreciated. Link to comment
dugstervision 0 Posted December 18, 2006 I think the composition is very interesting. Maybe I'd crop a little off the left side to highlight the repeating shapes- the dark tree area on the right, and the upper cloud- similar wedge shapes. It feels like the horizon is very slightly tilting down to the right. Hey, nice shot! Link to comment
sobie 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Cropping would bring this sunset out more, but I am ashamed to say, I am just too lazy. Heh. I don't have a good image editor to do it either, only paint. Well, Thanks for the thoughts, I'll try it sometime. Link to comment
dusty2004 0 Posted December 20, 2006 Hi Mike. Unfortunately photography is not like painting a picture is it. They can just paint in what they like or leave things out. We do the best we can then go click. Cheers. Link to comment
