This is my favorite of the three recent landscape posts, I love all the golden grass leading me into the composition. The image seems so serene and pristine that it makes a person want to visit that area and go on a picnic. All three of the images are appealing to me because they're not "cluttered up" with a lot of distracting elements, just nice clean landscapes and the colors feel true to the scene.....but there's something that was bothering me, I've actually been to this page several times to look at the images and I just now figured it out, the framing is to large for my taste, it feels "heavey", it maybe just when I view the thumbnail, not as distracting when I view larger, a minor thing. Have a good trip and enjoy the holidays with family and friends that you love.

You know this is one of my favorite images I've uploaded over the past many months. It really should be viewed in the largest size as a lot of the subtlety in the grass is lost at smaller sizes. There was a great deal of detail to be had in the various types and colors of these wild grasses. It shows in only the largest size. I don't think you'll find the large size too imposing for the black frame around it either? It felt nicely balanced at that size too. But I respect a differing opinion as I'm very pleased with the end image. Makes all the difference in the world. Hope you have a great Holiday too, at least if I don't critique or chat before-hand? Pleasant New Year as well!

Very nice work on the exposure-so much detail in the grass that could have turned out just a yellow wash.

By the way there are 2 sensor dust spots in the upper left corner.

Didn't even notice the spots, appreciate your critical eye. Feel free to point out these inconsistency's to me anytime. I've a CRT monitor going bad and half the screen is blurring uncontrollably and starting to shift pink as well. Going to have to do something soon, even though I finally got calibrated for Adobe RGB (1998) profile printing! Thanks for stopping by to comment too.
