portraits Alexa

im a starting out photographer im still in highschool and in my 2nd

yearof photo2 because they dont have photo3. my models name is Alexa.

A nice moody shot and I like the dark background and composition. However, the image is not very sharp - a minor criticism. Good effort, Regards Steve

I agree with Steve. The focus is on her hair and hood pattern, that said, I really like this. It made me think that this would look great if just her eyes where in focus. Your BIO said you are just getting into doing portraits. All the photo's currently in your portfolio show that you are able to capture emotion very well. I look forward to your future work. I am a student of photography - I know what it's like starting out - follow your instincts, you have a natural flair for 'mood' 'emotions' etc. If you want to concentrate on portraits you will have to find that fine line between looking too perfect and focused and showing a 'mood' and atmoshere, sometimes it is very difficult, I am still trying....some of the worst photos are perfectly focused! When you have found it let me know.... sorry that was a bad "Australian' sense of humour, I think as photographers we are all searching for that perfect photo....maybe we will see it in retrospect.
