hansendj 0 Posted December 3, 2006 I have a biased opinion towards liking this because of my model, but Iwould like to know what others think. Is the sky too blown out? Howis the framing, pose, etc...all your comments are welcome andappreciated. Also, I have a BW version in my portfolio that I wouldlike to get some feedback on... which is better? Thank you! gstarene 0 Posted December 3, 2006 Nice photo. I think you should of offered your sweatshirt to her...is she freezing? I agree with you about the washed out sky. Maybe crop it out? Anyway you have a nice model,,take more pictures dude. Link to comment
hansendj 0 Posted December 3, 2006 Yeah, she does look like she's cold or something, but it was actually really nice out. We were all in shorts and t-shirts. I just liked the perspective with including the sky and trees. I have others with these cropped out, but I was hoping someone may suggest a way to fix this one. Thanks for taking the time to comment, Gene! Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted December 3, 2006 I like the composition (Would have made a nice 3D shot as well!). I would suggest just burning the midtones of the clouds and sky. It would fit the feel of the photo better anyway. She does look chilly! -Anthony Link to comment
dwm1953 0 Posted December 3, 2006 Certainly OK as is, though I think if I was going with color, I would try to simulate the effect of a warming filter. Personally, I don't find the colors in this to be that compelling, so it's worth considering going a different way entirely. For your consideration... Link to comment
hansendj 0 Posted December 3, 2006 Anthony - Thanks for the comments. I'm not really very good at burning and dodging so I just try to use levels...maybe I'll learn some day. ;o) David - If you wouldn't mind I'd appreciate if you could take a look at the BW version that I have in my portfolio next to this one. I had already gone in the direction you suggested, but I may not have a good enough eye to do the conversion as well. Please let me know if you think it turned out well. In the mean time I think I'll try to warm it up as you also suggested... Thanks David. Link to comment
