oliver_indra 0 Posted April 3, 2002 Roses are red, violets are blue, I've lost my mind, and so could you... Link to comment
mark_smith12 0 Posted April 4, 2002 Wow. A lot going on here. I like the tree/shrub and the way it is lit. The rocks and flowers add color and texture. There isn't really a strong, central subject though and the focus seems a little soft to me. Link to comment
luke_pederson 0 Posted April 4, 2002 Since there is so much going on in this photo I think the overall darkness takes away form it. I brightened it up a little and crancked up the saturation a ton. Just a suggestion. Link to comment
benedicte_thomassen 0 Posted April 4, 2002 Very interesting photo with a lot of detail. I agree with Luke that it would look a little better when it is a bit brighter, though :) Link to comment
ken_imduaikiat2 0 Posted April 5, 2002 I like the lines formed by the dry branches. Distracting are 1) earth, 2) blue shell like thing, 3) three large green leaves. You can hide the gray soil by cover it with ashes and foggy spray the ashes. Remove the shell thing. As for the leaves, you might get away with them in the shots but I prefer that they are removed. Also, the audience can use a stop more light to study the texture of the wood. Link to comment
oliver_indra 0 Posted April 5, 2002 Hmmm. I just found this spot and did not want to change anything, the frame just captured me like it was. About the comments on light and focus I really start to have a problem: the original slides look ok, I checked them with a magnifier and they are in focus. I am using a Nikon Coolscan III scanner and I just get crazy sometimes with this machine because the light of the scanned pics is never the light of the original. Correction costs quality and therefore I prefer to do minor adjustments only. Quite often the scanned pics seem to be too dark. Any suggestions?Ah yeah, Lukes version is clearly overexposed for me, even if it looks nice like that also. Thanx so far for all your comments! Link to comment
