agustin.david 0 Posted December 8, 2006 Fabulous image David !!! What I can say... it's everything said. I just can add myself to the rest of the partners here saying that it's a masterpiece. Very nice and natural colours, great composition and a amazing moment. Congratulations. Best regards. Agustin David. Link to comment
carlsphotography 0 Posted February 13, 2007 Congratulations on an excellent shot and having it featured in March 07 edition of Digital Photo. Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted February 16, 2007 Well I am bloody livid actually because they have squashed it into a mess by resizing without constraining the proportions, just to fit in some Lexar card advert. It looks awful. Link to comment
fujimike 0 Posted July 13, 2007 Love seascapes and this is excellent. I see you used a 0.9nd grad but for some reason you have had to blend together for correct exposure. Couldn't filters used in taking shot have been enough? Cracking image and that crop suggestion is not a patch on the original, cant understand why someone would want to even attempt that on an image with already perfect composition. Would love to know where abouts in South Devon this was taken as i live in Plymouth, cheers Link to comment
cchristy 0 Posted July 13, 2007 I think it's great, too. but I do have a bit of a quibble. It seems to me that the photo is over-saturated and too contrasty. It's like Maxfield Parrish painting beautiful but other-worldly, my views are probably not widely held among the photo-net members but I'd be interested in finding out, Link to comment
richard thompson www.fotoz 0 Posted July 13, 2007 That is one mean landscape - stunning. Love the way both the rocks in the foreground and the slops of the 'teeth' point to the sunset. This image has everything. The sunset with 'gods fingers' is perfect. The exposure duration on the sea is perfect. The sharpness of the foreground and horizon is perfect. My only constructive critique point would be the transition between teeth and sky. Either artifacts from sharpening or un-accurate graduation of composite exposures has caused a very slight halo around the teeth. This could easily be corrected though. And I am being very very nit picky ! All the very best to you and your photography Rich Link to comment
manta 37 Posted July 13, 2007 What a shot. I feel guilty even suggesting changes (Over-Sharpening Correction, Color Correction and Exposure). Link to comment
vlad po... 1 Posted July 14, 2007 Looks Beautiful! And to me David Rossien's suggestion makes sence. Link to comment
fujimike 0 Posted July 14, 2007 Dont know why people are fiddling with your photo, an unnecessary distraction and certainly is not constructive. They have missed the point about photography i.e to me are computer addicts! Im sure if you were to print this you could easily make any slight adjustments to calibrate with your printer. Everyone displays this slightly different on their monitor and any idiot could do what they are suggesting. I hope they can read this constructive criticism so that they dont waste anymore of their own time and ruin what is a remarkable photo. Cheers Link to comment
davidclapp 0 Posted July 15, 2007 Cheers Michael, I completely agree but you cant stop'em the little tinkers! Link to comment
fujimike 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Just delete them! Keen to know where this is if you dont mind as i live in Plymouth and would like to visit the place myself. cheers Link to comment

frits_nieuwenburg 0 Posted October 1, 2007 As the title says, although it has been much oversharpened, it is a stunning picture. The sugestion that you should convert your picture to four-thirds format. I reject. (and this from an Olympus guy) Also the contrast is just fine. (sorry Mr. Roossien) Great shot... show us more! michael anderson 0 Posted November 20, 2007 David, This is one of my top 5 all time favorite landscapes! Absolutely stunning! (And L' Oceanographic is one of my all time favorite man and nature shots). Your work is a total inspiration! Link to comment
ken_schuster 0 Posted November 23, 2007 I prefer your crop, and your darker foreground, David. For me, it transfers as much as possible the feeling of being there, with its visual depth and intensity. I'm sure the "oversharpening" and other image editing problems mentioned are not in your TIF. Superb! Link to comment
