Moon Behind Courthouse

keithsnyder

Victorian design county courthouse in Houghton, MI. The harvest moon looked particularly large this year. This was shot with a Sigma 70-300mm. I shot the moon separately, adjusted the color temp to match the diffused light in the haze, since the exposures I tried either got the building but blew out the moon, or got the moon but couldn't see the building. I just wish the wind wasn't blowing the flag so much!

Victorian design county courthouse in Houghton, MI. The harvest moon

looked particularly large this year (the news said it was a perigee

this time, appearing 13% larger than usual). I shot the moon

separately, adjusted the color temp to match the diffused light in

the haze and pasted it in place, since the exposures I tried either

got the building but blew out the moon, or got the moon but couldn't

see the building. I just wish the wind wasn't blowing the flag so

much!
