Other than the newer style tripod, what other changes would you

recommend. Do you think this is worthwhile to reshoot with an old

wooden tripod ?

Yes and instead of the 24 x 24 frame, I think that a 30 x 20 would give the women's shape a lot more justice !

Sorry Kevin. Your picture is very very good. You know that wood instead of black poly-ethyl,ether,vinyl,ester,whatever is better, yet why are you asking that question? It sounds silly to me. You owe to dwell in higher concerns. I think that the overall contrast should be a little stronger without affecting the perfect tone of her skin, im think you should crop tighter but show more legs! you are close to optimum already, perspective is lacking. Try a quarter perspective with wider angle.

Just saw this one, it's even better than your previous posting. Yes, if you could find a wooden tripod and wok on this concept more I think you would have some salable images clearly in the "Fine Art" category.

I think that a good companion shot would be -- this same model, this same darkcloth, the same tripod; but shoot it with the large format camera in this picture. There is no better way to reproduce old styles than by using old gear to do it with. That's either a Crown Graphic or a Speed, isn't it?

Kudos to you for not getting too carried away with the toning. This looks about perfect.

Great shot, I really like this one. I think the old wooden tripod idea is a good one. It is a small change but would add to the old look you are going for here. Also I think the look of a platinum print with the brush strokes framing the pic would add. These are just the small details that I think would make this shot even more successful than it already is. Thanks
