pnital 36 Posted November 29, 2006 Amal, impressive human being with a life experience expressed in his gaze, beautiful light and placement on the frame. My only nit is the line behind his head which I would have cloned out. Very nice work Amal. Link to comment

warren williams 0 Posted December 1, 2006 A.K. - it is always so difficult to criticise a piece of work when it is so good, but if you'll forgive me, I'd like to do so in good spirit. Normally I would have given this a straight 7/7. But my concerns are twofold - firstly, the mark on his forehead is a bit distracting. Secondly (and more importantly), I think his eyes have been oversharpeneed - they're almost trying too hard to attract attention. I think this is such a brilliant portrait that very, very little post-processing work is needed - the photograph speaks for itself in its intensity. Wow, you've inspired me! There's a poor, homeless woman who lives down the road from me and I think you've now done enough to get me down there! Thanks! Warm regards. Warren Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted December 1, 2006 Alec:- Earning appreciation from you,is like receiving Oscar for me:-) Many thanks. Warren:- Grateful to you for your suggestions. Regarding that white patch on forehead,it is custom here for some people to apply vermillion or sandalwood paste. I left it like that and did not clone. He had that piercing look, perhaps due to prolonged suffering in his life. Many thanks for your visit and feedback. Link to comment
