This is an excellent composition, Lou Ann. I like the desaturation, too...gives it s colder feeling. Very nice work!

I've had my share of covered bridge picture taking...but got to admit never came anywhere close to shooting something like this one. Good composition. The rule of thirds at work here.

Cheers!!

The snow really adds to the photo. Very nice. I'll be staying in Jamestown until March this year so maybe get some snow photos... hope it doesn't get too deep.... :)

Lou Ann, the pole is hardly felt among the trees , don't touch it if you ask me... beautiful image, very nice conversion to B/W. I like the accentuated bridge vs, the soft/blured bg trees. very well done.

Pole no problem, B&W with just the one spot of red is perfect, and the softly falling snow and trees make me long to hear sleigh bells ringing. Very nice composition Lou Ann.

You commented on my image of Lorton Prison the other day and said how you live near by and thought about photographing it before, but were afraid to get arrested. In fact my wife & I were both questioned by a security guard when we took these shots. He was very polite, just making sure we weren't going to cause trouble.

This image really caught my eye and one of my best friends lives in Buck County, and I go up a visit him several times a year. What a great place to take pictures too, and this one is particularly nice.

Keep shooting, you do wonderful work.

I love the atmosphere! One of my soon to be day trips is a covered bridge tour of my area, there are about a dozen within two hours of my home. Stay tuned!

do you live in Bucks County?

I like that you caught the Knechts bridge while it was snowing :)

Aren't too many good angles to get this bridge because of those darn signs

No - I live in Northern Virginia, outside of DC. But I was at a friend's photo show near here and drove up early in the am (it only takes a little over two hours from DC) and wanted to shoot some of the covered bridges around Bucks County. It happened to be snowing lightly, which was a major bonus. BUT ... I DID have to clone out a bunch of signs! :)
