I think this picture has the spirit of some

bygone era when women were beautiful just by

being beautiful - strong, independent and smart,

not just ny looking dumb, unsophisticated and victimized.

I am in awe after four ratings - 3.75 and 3.50. Yes, this

is an American website, and she does not look like

Paris Hilton, but cut me some slack here, please ;-)!

I think one reason could be that this is quite diabolic in terms of tones. The face is hikey and the rest lowkey albeit with hilites. The lighting itself is obviously very "glam". Having seen your prints I think your photos come better off in bigger scale because the detail quality becomes more obvious. jpg-compression does nothing good to the ends of the dynamic range - especially if the monitor has slightly off settings. (Most people use their monitor with too much brightness.)
