twmeyer 0 Posted December 24, 2006 Thanks to Marek Potoma's link, I can appreciate Gabriel Lipták's superior photograph from this same day. Tomas's interpretation seems static and almost exclusively vertical. Compare it to the lyrical counterpoint in Gabriel's photo that plays off the contrasting movement with the diagonal grouping of the cool dark trees, set against the vertical shafts of light. The individual tree's jagged symmetry also works in beautiful contrast to the soft mist, and their darker tone also contributes greatly to the dynamic range of the image. I greatly prefer Liptak's rendering. TZ's image is comparatively flat in tone, palette and composition. Thanks for the link to GL's photo, MP... t Link to comment

diane_fugate 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Tomas, this photo is beautiful. It is so worthy of its title. The lighting and the way the light beams kissing the trees and the grounds below is wonderful. This is a very strong photo! Great Job!! Diane Link to comment
