SMILE ... so this is the cure you are ordering us now, doctor?

Made me remember my parrents big troubles when they wanted stubborn little me to have my medicine as a little girl . I t was a fight I often did win. Funny to think of now.

Beautiful colorrange, light and texture and so nice to see you back in the saddle cowboy

Big Smile - good story Bente - crossed my mind the same way - But sometimes the cure we seek - is not a Medical one - (-; ...

Hello Hanna - this is an early version so I'm still playing with it - but I like it for the simpleness you mentioned - thank you for czeching in! ........ As for the Cure - well yes - smile ...

Hi Deb - I liked the chocolate color too - they actually came out of the cam that way - a combination of WB setting and the antique lamp I used to light the scene ......... As for the backdrop - it is intentional - I usually try to have something back there as an accent to the scene - without distracting from the subject. Sometimes I succeed - sometimes I don't - smile ..... thank you for stopping by Deb.

Just a thougth .... JUST a thougth ... do you mean that common sense is the cure?

A man who has been shooting nailed eggs, been putting bulbs in eggs, been putting eggs in a rat trap, has been carving eggs, has been crawling up on tall roofes in thunderstorms to shoot the lightnings, has been shooting his BJs and fury slippers has the meaning that commen sense is the cure?

Ha... you don't fool me cowboy.

What I forgot to tell you in the first comment: This is so sharp and has the clarity that is hard to keep when uploading to PN. Man .... it must look great before teh uploading.

Ken this is perfection once again.

I love it;

Reminds me of the band, "The Cure"...do you know them?

Many great lyrics, one that comes to my mind is the song, "Hey You".

Be blessed this holiday season!!

Once again, you make us "ponder" - your composition, and just life in general. Love your bio picture, by the way! :)

I like the low angle lighting just touching the backside of the bottle and the negative space beyond. I am not convinced that the cure was found, maybe if the bottle was upright and some of the medicine left over or on the spoon... more like a search for a cure perhaps. A striking and provocative image in my mind.

Hello Beckster - that is exactly the case - the bottle is empty - the spoon is empty - but hope lies in knowledge - and the Search ...... Very nice to see you - (-; ...

Hi Kim - (-; - very nice comment - thank you ..

Hi Rox - no I've never heard them but I've heard of them - I'll czech it out ..... Glad you like the shot - It was Inspired for sure - This is an early version - and I think it still needs something else - an old pair of glasses on top of the books methinks - jaaaa .... Way nice having you stop by - (-; ...

Hi Bente - Common Sense is telling me not to comment on your comment on Common Sense - however you make a very good point - as usual (-; ........ And yes, it looks much sharper on my screen saver!

I go away for a few days and come back to find this visual treat! Good for you...guess I'd better get my hiney in gear and post something soon! (-; So, about the shot...I love the lighting...makes that chocolatey color so rich and smooth. Very nice. Like adding cocoa to coffee... (-;

Fine work Ken. . . but I agree with Becky that something is missing. . the image is too clean. . I would like to see something of a molasses consistency spilling out of the bottle. . but then,on the other hand, that might ruin the metaphor. . .

Kim - lol - careful - you're tipping your hand there Missy ... (-;

Les - mmmm coffee with hot chocolate mmmm (-; ....... The shot glass is a great idea - I don't have one buttttt there are 2 antique stores near downtown - I bet I could come up with something. I'm hoping to make this a 3-shot set .... A version with a glass would fit nicely thank you !

Howdy Donna - good to see you - yes it looks a little barren/orderly to me too - I may upload 5 of these or so - to pick the best 3 ..... So check back if you can and share your thoughts and ideas. So far, I've re-shot it with a pair of glasses added to the scene - and another several versions with 'liquid' ..... Thanks for your help Donna - means alot ... !

Glycerin or a few strategic drops of oil under the bottle spout-or is it intended to say the cure has dried up?
Link to comment

Hi Leann - I'm hoping for a series of 3 out of this set-up so that certainly sounds like one of them ..... 'dried up' - no - but the cure may be found in the book - more research/time - (-; ...

Alexandra I very much appreciate your visit - and any ideas you may have - thank you ... !

when you mentioned time above that got me thinking...it seems we're always waiting for an answer or a cure...in the ER or doctor's office, from the research, or just plain waiting for that motrin to kick in to get rid of a headache. Sooooo...what I'm getting at is maybe you should add an element of time to this series...an old pocket watch...a calendar...something like that. Maybe something that shows the passage of time like a wilted flower or dust covered something. Just a few thoughts. What do you think?
