msicard 0 Posted March 20, 2007 Glad to see that mushroom are of some interest to your photographic eye.This looks like a mature specimen of Hypholoma capnoides (not edible) which grows in bunch on rotten wood (that might be hiden in the soil). This shot is taken close allright to the ground which enables us to see many of the caracteristics of the species. The main problem with mushrooms is that they often comes in an umbrella shape wich keeps all the light on the top. Apart from multiple flashes, the use of a reflector (neutral white) is a simple and easy way to correct this problem. Link to comment
