zackschnepf 0 Posted November 13, 2006 This is the first image I've processed from a wonderful trip to Utah. Link to comment
trevor_anderson 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Beautiful, Zack. I might consider cropping a portion of the left-hand side to increase balance. Link to comment
jamesg 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Zack, I thought I had seen all the different ways to image sandstone slot canyons, boy was I wrong... this is outstanding! I tried cropping the left edge (paper on monitor technique) and it didn't do much for me. I may not be seeing what Trevor saw though. The mix of diagonal and vertical lines AND the circular nodules is what makes this photo tops. Great image! James Link to comment
corkman 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Superb as is. Needs the foreground on the left for depth and to lead the eye - follows rule of thirds to a T. Link to comment
baldurt 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Great shot. I like the crop just like this. I was there just two weeks ago, but we were there late afternoon and the light was not at it's best. Congrats on s great photo. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted November 19, 2006 You might try cropping it like this. I selected and flattened the contrast of just the brightest areas. After staring at it for a while you begin to wonder if there are elephants in Zebra canyon... Link to comment
zackschnepf 0 Posted November 20, 2006 Yep, that crop also works quite well. I have a few similar full frame comps, but not quite like this. Thanks for the input. Link to comment
