.th 0 Posted November 13, 2006 what a beauty.!!! though i must echo rick's comment about the sailboat (it is a sailboat, right?). it does interrupt too much with an otherwise wonderful calm play of compo and monocolor. Link to comment
lars_brorson_fich 0 Posted November 16, 2006 I desagree completly with Eric and Thorir. This is a fantastic picture, and it is the sailboat that makes it - the only trouble is the size. I hope the originaly is a large picture. If you take the time to look at it, including the sailboat, it is a fantastic illustration of the feeling of beeing just a tiny little being in the wast expanse of nature - an illustration of existential vulnerability and beeing on your own as a fundamental condition of life. It is not just a beautyful picture, it is mindblowing when you come to look at it. Who else could have had such a thought, and gone to such extremes as making the subject so small to make such a point; Andreas Gursky ? (thats why I hope the original is larger). God - I wish it was mine. Thanks fore sharing ! Re. Lars Link to comment
eric stolk 0 Posted November 16, 2006 i don't think it's a sailboat: perspectively that doesn't make sense. The boat would be wayyyyyyy too small and the waves way to high. I think it's a howdoyoucall a thing where boats sail around....It still irritates me Link to comment
