lbattjes 0 Posted November 12, 2006 What a beautiful image! I love the sepia tones and the overall composition. Is this a flower? I can't tell for sure, but that's my guess :) The tips of the petals looks slightly burnt...really makes the edges pop. Nicely done. Leslie Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted November 12, 2006 Many thanks Leslie. The original is in colour. I tried putting a sepia tone to it and because of the slightly darker colours around the tips it has really stood out. Looks better in sepia than in (boring) colour. And oh yes it's a HT rose called Tequila Sunrise. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted November 13, 2006 You did a great job with your toning. I like the amount of negative space on the right. Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted November 13, 2006 Hi Linda. Thank you for your encouraging comments. My life was made easier because the picture was taken in very little evening light and thus background was quite dark already. Link to comment

lucyhollis 2 Posted November 13, 2006 Nice texture, but the composition is a bit too half and half for me, maybe if the flower was at an angle or positioned rising from a corner thi would help. Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Thank you Spencer for your comments and as for Lucy's comments, I have tried a variation to see what difference it makes and I do think it improves it. So thank you to Lucy as well. Link to comment
