What a beautiful portion of night sky!

The very strong point of this image is for me the framing induced by the buildings. Those straight lines, never parallel one to each other are like a path that leads your eye to the moon at center.

The structure and the asymmetrical linesreminds me to the Escher's "House of stairs".

I think you carefully chose yourangle and the result is a very original and pleasing picture. Before I read your note I was sur it was a grandangle image...

Thanks for your kind comment. The reason to take the shot was the moonlight, but what I like now about it are the lines where none of them seems straight, although they all are (as you can see here :http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=352943).

Yes, it's really a strange optical illusion.

By the way: the right name of the Escher's picture was "Ascending and Descending" not "House of stairs".
