lucyhollis 2 Posted November 11, 2006 Always a classic, beautiful view. When were you there? Grass looks lush! (this scene was pretty dry and brown when I was there, sept time). The lighting is fairly harsh but you've done well to keep detail in the shadows. Link to comment
yianni 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Lucy, Thank you for looking at my portfolio and for your kind comments. I went there at June which is during the beginning of the Peruvian winter. Despite that, Machu Pichu is located on a semi-tropical area of Peru near La Selva (Amazon rainforest). For that reason I think that the green lush grass that I captured in this picture should be attributed more to the attentive effort of the people responsible for watering the grass in this cultural monument than the season.
