Great composition and force in this diagonal to the bottom without depth highlighting this feminine sweeping look. Regards Catalin

Great composition, with the background figure reminiscent of the Soul legend James Brown. Love the way you've used your frame. Excellent work. Regards, Kelvin.

If you capture an interesting composition, don't pay attention to the rates, the important thing is sharing that feeling with sensitive artists like a few of us, and let us enjoy it, thanks

Catalin. as all was said already, I join all the others. it is a very nice image, blured BG.vs, the good details of the model, colors, exposure and composition.

You are a very short time here, and already found the problem that disturbs many of us,( I'm here the 5th year) So you have asked a question, I have answered you in my folder, but here it is again , with added sentences;-))

Catalin, to answer your question if I'm happy with the anonymous rating, NO I'm not happy with it, and many are not! as the 3/3's are a terrible epidemic on the net, I have stopped looking at them. I look only at the comments and people that I know their knowledge and works in the medium. They can put as many 3/3's or any other numbers as they like, when they are anonymous I don't pay attention to them. It was discussed time and again in the feedback forum, people are not happy, but to no avail, so I'm not interested and they are not an index to my work or many other works of good photographers.. I ask for critique because that is the system here, and there is more visibility, thats it. I use my folders as a catalogue of my work for real life, and share my work with people and friends here that I can see, and like their work.

I hope you will learn to ignor them and concentrate of what people are writing to you.

Thanks for asking.

Catalin, I agree with Pnina. Also, keep in mind that this problem is not really a photo.net problem. The problem is that the great anonymous masses don't really understand what good artwork is, they only understand what immediately appeals to them. The range of what they like is limited to the little that they understand.

Artists have had to put up with that since the beginning of time.

We could all take macros of flowers with butterflies on them, pump up the saturation with photoshop, post them, and never see another 3/3 anonymous as long as we live. Theres people posting photos on this site every day who do just that.

Hey theres a guy who makes fractals using software, posts them, and gets all 6s and 7s, and he doesnt even take a photo! Figure THAT out!

For my part, a good rating and a critique from you and a couple of other friends is WAY more rewarding than 6's from the anonymous voters.

Personally, I find the anonymous rating system an hide away place for cowards. If somebody wants to rate, should do it in its own name. I took position and stand in a couple of forum discussions, but it appears to be a majority in favour of the current system.

I don't care. I do follow and take notice of the critiques to my photos and in fact I have learnt a lot with straight, direct, honest criticism and ratings.

I couldn't care less about anonymous rates and I don't even count them.

I wish you all the best, greetings from Portugal.

Great photo, very smart crop, this one of yours.

Wonderful capture! The woman's expression, especially her eyes, is incredible. My mind jumps back and forth from assuredness to unease to assuredness...

The man in background is looking behind her causing more tension and unease. The framed art gives a nice structure to the image and frames both the man and the woman. Fantastic!

Great image

Like the tight crop and composition. This image will look great in monochrome too.It would look like these famous Italian neo-realism movies. Very well done.

Kind regards

Catalin, this is really captivating image. The expression on her face is challenging and also in some ways asking. The man-figure on the background, with very coloured clothes, feels to be connected to the beautiful lady, but in what ways... Really strong composition. In short, a great human-photo. Well seen and shot.

As it comes to the number-game in PN. It is frustrating thing. But on the other hand, we can rise above it, can`t we?

Your friend,

Alpo

Expressive, inviting eyes. A beutiful portrait with original placement of the model. A very interesting, beautiful face, lightened skilfully. The BG with the person concentrated on the beautiful woman works very well and addresses the eye to your theme.
