sacbee 0 Posted November 15, 2006 This is a HDR shot of Buerqin river in Xinjiang autonomous region. This is the spot where we camped on the first night, on the way to Hemu. Its a 5 shots HDR merge, tone mapped image, shot handheld. Thanks for your comments. Link to comment
greg mccracken 13 Posted November 15, 2006 Very pretty, but I'm afraid the halo over the trees on the left detracts a bit. Some HDR programs allow to adjust sliders to minimize that effect. Lovely sky as well! Looks like a great place to camp! Were you boating as well? Link to comment
sacbee 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Greg: That was not a boatable river, it was quite shallow. And I agree the comment about white halo...looks a bit odd. Link to comment
sarah_martin2 0 Posted November 15, 2006 I like the overall effect, its very pretty. Keep up the great work.... Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted November 15, 2006 ... you might be using too many source images. Have you tried a narrower range of images, that might minimize the halo effect and give you better results. Nice thing about HDR, you can do many experiments on a couple of shots. Link to comment
sacbee 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Dennis: I didnt experiment much, I did played around with some settings which gave this image, which I liked pretty much except for white halo. I guess I still have source files, will try out with lesser files as suggested by u. Thanks. Link to comment
