I think you have mastered the IR composition to perfection. Your imagery is so surreal and mysterious and my mind can fabricate a story to go with each image. These trees look like they're right out of the dinosaur days.

I commented on one of your other photographs that I thought the sky was burned out, but here hte pure white sky works well and the whole scene has a wonderful luminous quality. The forms of the trees on the right are great.

Nice work.

Plenty of IR radiation in that sky to turn it so bright, and enough of it still bouncing around down below to create the proverbial "wood effect". Your Sony modification must be detecting around 720nm and longer (with the R72). I use Macophot 820c in my 6x7 to do this and with a similar filter. It starts to get sensitive around 800nm, so I miss a portion of the shorter waves.

Great composition, too! I am envious. Regards.

So this is that "Swanee Ribber":-)We used to hum this song in our school:-

"Way down upon de Swanee Ribber,

Far, far away,

Dere's wha my heart is turning ebber,

Dere's wha de old folks stay."

Never thought I shall be able to view this river.

Beautiful rendition,Sondra.

I like the backlight, too. Because there are great darks in the foreground on the right, and the hot spot isn't too overpowering. These trees are fascinating. I love how funnel-shaped they are!

i know these trees... in french, they are named "cypr賠chauve". i reconise them cause there is little "tree" all around the big trees...

However...your pics are magic, captivating, speechless... i love the ambiance... really emotive photo. thanks.
