Of all the pedestrian crossings in the UK this is the only one that

needs written instructions to operate.

This appeals to my strange sense of humour. The crop is good. Maybe a wider aperture to fuzz the background even more, make it stand out a bit more?

Maybe not the most technical or aesthetic picture on photo-net, but I like this as a document and symbol of the perverse and ridiculous! Someone told me that when you press these buttons they don't actually do anything - the lights are on a timer and the button is just there to stop people and make them wait to cross! Which would explain why, as a car driver I often find myself stopping when these lights go red and no pedestrian is in sight! A good example of the nanny culture we have! Well spotted! Regards, Drew
