Arnab, yes indeed a Grad ND would have solved the dynamic range problem (and I did have two at the time but didn't use them). The original slide still shows a good amount of details in the snowy mountain and clouds, but my scanner (Nikon Coolscan IV ED) wasn't able to extract them all. I will try scanning two files, and merge to HDR in PS. Thanks, Link to comment
mitch_hull1 0 Posted November 5, 2006 I've been to LL many times (though never doing a thorough reconnaisance-photo op of it) and haven't seen this perspective before. Very nice. I agree about the clouds being blown out, and also point out the color in the underneath of the cloud in the upper right is kinda unnatural. thanks very much for a new view of a scenic icon that I love dearly.
