No, this is not lovely...and I will tell you why. If a child (or adult) does this with their eyes, it is usually accompanied with a silly grim, turned up nose or pulled out ears. Put your hand over the girl's eyes for a moment and look at the rest of the photo. What do you see? All the features are very natural - had she not crossed her eyes, you would have had a lovely picture. Instead, you have a photo of a girl who looks like her eyes are really crossed...and I felt sorry for her. I'm guessing you told her to do this, because she is not into this at all. She knew what was best here - and you made a mistake. This one to the trash heap. ken

Very thoughtful of Ken here to go through oh about a couple hundred photos in his first few days as a PN member and give his kind and expert critiques to them. This guy's a joke. Do not let him get you down with his snide comments on this fun little whimsical shot.

Ken the reaction of the kid was spontaneous I didn't forced her. You have a lot of time to criticise other people - I read about 20 of you critiques you posted every day - just 1 or 2 are somehow kindly other photos are just crap for you. I wanted to see some of your "perfect" photos, but as expected you are not so brave to share them with other PN users. Make some constructive critique or learn how the kids between 3-5 years usualy reacts if they see camera...

I googled Ken's name, and saw in one of his comments that he lived in the Chicago area. I found a site of a photograper with the same name in the chicago area. I dont know if this is him or not, but if so....he's got a lot of nerve criticizing photos on here, especially ones that are not perfectly sharp, as many of his photos lack technical perfection.
