agruendl 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Hi Dejan, I like this photo, the composition and colours are very nice. The tree gives a certain dynamic to the picture. All the best, Alexandra Link to comment
alight 0 Posted November 8, 2006 Great composition...but again, the light is too hard. Because of that you lost detail in the rock, some texture in the water and completely lost the sky. White, washed out sky, is a picture destroyer, if you want to present your photo to other photographer. It might be great for showing it to the family, but otherwise... Take the same picture when the sun is setting or rising, and the darkness of the sky will be well withing the dynamic range of the photographic media. The yellowish evening sunlight would nicely tint the water, too. You'd have a winner...as I said, the framing itself is excellent. Using ND grad filter (to darken the sky) wouldn't work in the composition, because the top of the tree would become darker than the bottom part. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
dejan1 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Same problem like I wrote on cliff photo. Same spot, same time of the day. Only one hour, or maybe two during the midday on that island. Other thing is that I'm beginner, i like this picture, I'm not fully satisfied with it because I see that something is missing, but there are kind people like you who will give a constructive critique. I hope that will help me to improve my photos. Thank you very much!!! Link to comment
