First Light on Ridges

Just as the sun was coming up it hit the pine trees on top of two

distant ridges.

James, this a damned intriguing shot! I really like it a lot. A very good composition, and very well exposed for the conditions. It really is a 'once in a lifetime' type of shot. Neat contrast with the two parallel lines of golden light, split with the snow and dark trees down in the valley and side-slopes. Very, very well done. Good eye. Best regards, Chris

I wonder if our monitors are calibrated exactly the same!

 

I was pretty excited and awed when I saw the trees light up... and therefor I am willing to admit that I may think too highly of it. BUT I am VERY pleased that you took the time to look at it and comment!

And here comes the third one. Great work James, Thank you for your kind comments and, no I am not back, I am waiting for the first snow in the mountains. Maybe the next week I am going to take a break and maybe while I am away the 3/3 raters are going to freeze.
