hugh_d. 0 Posted March 24, 2002 Is it me or focused on the foreground ? Or is it a scanning problem, the right side seems to be sharp and the left one very blurry ? Link to comment
scott_robertson1 0 Posted March 25, 2002 Yes, there is a soft-focus artifact on the left part of the frame. What happened for this shot was that my camera was chilled from the aircon (which was stuck on full-blast all night) in our room and insulated in its padded case during the ride to Angkor at 4:30am. When I pulled the camera out as we arrived and stepped out into the 80 deg. F, 80%+ humid air, my lens fogged over instantly. It took 20 min. or so to warm up, but not wanting to miss the dawn light, I kept wiping the front filter and shooting anyway. This shot, and several others taken at the same time and location, have varying degrees of fog-induced softness. I should have known this would happen and asked the driver to turn off the A/C and roll down a window to warm up the camera on the trip out from town. Link to comment
