davidorea 1 Posted November 3, 2006 Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. Because Denise's curiosity and Thinh 's question ... here is the story : Last Sunday I visited the Zapopan Art Museum (Museo de Arte de Zapopan). I found in the museum four excellent photographic exhibitions. In the first showroom (gallery) was an exhibition called "Soldado Rojo" (Red Soldier) with several excellent and very intense b&w photographs by Li Zhen Sheng. Really strong images about the Mao Zedong era. The gallery was almost empty, but I saw a young girl seated on the floor. I don't know if she was just resting or sleeping. But because her pose she also seemed to be crying in silence after seen the strong and sad images of the exhibition. Then, after seen such scene, I decided to take the photo. So, my intention was showing a connection (real or just apparent) between the girl and the exhibition. That's the story. Best regards. Link to comment

jana 1 Posted November 9, 2006 Fantastic ! For me a very strong political interpretation. The clean sterile perfect environment symbolizes the end... Nobody wants to know anything not even about the worst dictature and crimes in the history, they are not interested in any warning. Everybody is out there consuming their fast food and stupid TV programs, living the lazy and easy life. The crowd shall not notice when another dictator regime comes along. They will wake up much later when it is too late, when there is no point of return. You see - the images, that evoke different feelings and interpretations are the true art images... cheers Jana Link to comment

Link to comment
