I like this one the best. The color is much more natural. The green and red look very true, makes me want to eat a few of them.

Let me tell you a little secret: The strawberries are in fact really fresh, sweet and juicy, as I can't wait tasting them once I have finished my shooting. Nevertheless, they are not particularly expensive... I should say I am lucky to buy them, "pose" them, shoot them and taste them.

 

The photo was taken using Nikon 105mm MACRO f/2.8 (The older version, without VR, IF nor AF-s). My friend intended to sell this to me. And I think I would buy the lens from him, as this is really a nice lens.

John, a very nice shot. I will second the good color and taste bud watering affect. However, IMO, the image will be strengthened greatly by removing most of the black area on the left. Let the berries and the basket fully fill the frame. BTW: if you decide not to buy the lens, please give you friend my email address! Just kidding. That is a great lens and you have made very good use of it in this image.

I would probably buy the lens. Previously, I am just struggling between this lens and the new Nikon 105mm MACRO f2.8, with IF, AF-s, ED, VR etc. But I think the new lens is too expensive for me, and I shall save the money for a 50mm f1.4 instead. (Or a SB 800 flash).

 

Lets keep shooting.
