thierry nguyen cuu - nomad 0 Posted October 31, 2006 This is one of the very Wow shots. Like others, i'd like some details. A quick assumption: This bird is flying really low according to the background and the shadow. There is no trace of panning, unless very high speed so: How do you do that :) Obviously, the lens was wide opened and it may be a short range lens (prime?) Sharpness is quite wide on the bird... but the grass remains perfectly blurred So again, give us some clues. Link to comment
antonio coppola 0 Posted October 31, 2006 sorry, that i couldn`t answer earlier..... technical details: canon 20d, lens 100/400 mm, raw image, manual focus, iso 800, F 9.0, exposure time 1/1000, focal length 400 mm. this picture is taken in hellenthal in germany. it is a flightshow and the eagle is flying very deep. i was on my knees to catch him in this angle and i made a panned shot. it took a lot of time and several attempts to get a result like this. a little ps sharpening and that`s it. i`m very happy to get so much nice comments and that you like my shot. thank you and best regards.
