judibrenstein 0 Posted May 26, 2002 Fantastic capture. Love the fact that neither one is on the ground. Of course, by virtue of size, the cowboy is in a bigger pickle... Link to comment
gk photography 0 Posted July 23, 2002 Nice catch but I'm not crazy about what seems to be burning in at the top of the frame. It pulls the subject, and thus my eye, away from the central focal point. A tighter crop might have allieviated this problem. Link to comment
Wayne Melia 6,094 Posted July 27, 2002 Greg: Yes the background was signifigantly altered as I found it to be busy in the original and I wanted to isolate the subject. Apparently I got "a little heavy-handed" about it :-) Thanks for making the time to comment. Feedback like this is how we can learn Link to comment
sal_sarid 0 Posted May 26, 2003 The moments you caught are great but I have a problem with the idea of altering the content of the pictures. I can understand cropping and I can understand altering colors a little, but when it comes to altering objects in the picture, it really means to me that something was taken away from the real capture of the image, and that makes it a little sad. Wayne Melia 6,094 Posted May 26, 2003 Sal; the alterations to the background were/was a matter of tonal adjustments to make it darker and "drop out", not actual repacement of objects. Thanks for looking and making the time to comment. Link to comment
wernher 0 Posted June 19, 2004 Wayne, your rodeo photos are terrific. This is my favourite - it's simply a super action shot. Good job! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 11, 2008 Just what Lex said. And this time it's framed with some space all around. What more to ask for...? Very good. Link to comment
