stephane camus 0 Posted March 21, 2002 Very Impressive composition. Everytime I try something like this, I end up with a dull picture of a piece of dead wood ;) I will try to remember your picture next time! Bravo. Link to comment
monti 0 Posted March 22, 2002 Hmmm, it's cool, the tree feels like an animal and there's almost a sense of movement in the image. I actually thought this was somewhere along the northwest coast instead of bryce. Aesthetically I feel more tension than beauty in this image - not sure if that's what you were after or not. vandegrift-goodwin 0 Posted March 23, 2002 Very nice contrast and subject matter. Well done with lighting and sky. What is a Walker, Walker Titan camera? Link to comment

keith_van_hulle1 0 Posted March 23, 2002 Less centered would have made it even nicer. Link to comment
carl smith 0 Posted March 24, 2002 This is wonderful. I love the tonalities and the dead tree. This would have a very different feel if it were in color. Link to comment
brucepercy 0 Posted April 5, 2002 There most definitely is a sense of 'life' about this photo. The tree has enormous presence, helped by the non busy nature of the surrounding landscape and also by the perspective you chose here Mark. Tonality wise, It's also excellent. You seem to capture the low values and high values without losing any detail (something that I wish I had greater success in doing). Congrats. This is a lovely image. I love the sky too. straycat 0 Posted April 13, 2002 Though there are many images on this and other sites, when it comes to what I'd like to display on my wall, this is it. Timeless and never tiresome. Link to comment
