Very Impressive composition. Everytime I try something like this, I end up with a dull picture of a piece of dead wood ;)

Hmmm, it's cool, the tree feels like an animal and there's almost a sense of movement in the image. I actually thought this was somewhere along the northwest coast instead of bryce. Aesthetically I feel more tension than beauty in this image - not sure if that's what you were after or not.

I love this photo- looks like a giant insect. Nice job getting a great composition out a difficult subject.

This is a very interesting image.I think your choice of black and white was best.

Less centered would have made it even nicer.

There most definitely is a sense of 'life' about this photo. The tree has enormous presence, helped by the non busy nature of the surrounding landscape and also by the perspective you chose here Mark.

 

Tonality wise, It's also excellent. You seem to capture the low values and high values without losing any detail (something that I wish I had greater success in doing).

Though there are many images on this and other sites, when it comes to what I'd like to display on my wall, this is it. Timeless and never tiresome.
