lburk1 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Critques please. This is a pre-dawn timed exposure using the ambient lighting. Link to comment
jason j 1 Posted October 28, 2006 Hey Lavern, you had a great chance here. This is a huge plane, so I don't mind the clipped wings, but I wish you had blurred the distracting background, and had also included a human figure or something so viewers could get a sense of its size. This photo is rather documentary. It says this is a C-130 Hercules. Could you give us more of your perspective or message, like you do in your bio? Take a look at my shot of part of a WWII plane to see my attempt. Please don't be offended by the title question. My uncle was a Marine. We named our son after him. I attended a Quaker peacenick school, but I also taught for a year at the Culver Military Academy in the 1980's, when they were seriously JROTC. Anyway, now you have the expert opinion of an amateur photographer. Good Luck. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted October 30, 2006 Jason is right again. The first couple of pics you posted from this event were nice and clean, with unusual lighting. This one, as well as the F-117, are okay documentary-wise but aesthetically pretty much killed by ugly and distracting backgrounds. Link to comment
lburk1 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Thanks for the comments. I agree with you. I didn't think of your perspectives too much before - and quite honestly I am weak in PS, but learning. I'll work on it and repost it. Thanks for opening up my mind some. Link to comment
