tammysphotos 0 Posted October 27, 2006 Ohhhh, I love this one, Sky. The colors are truly magnificent. I'm in awe of these brilliant artists. What a neat find. -T Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted October 28, 2006 This mural was back in an old downtown area just hidden away. I agree about the brilliant artist. I can put some color on canvas every now and then but just the thought of having to do one of these giant murals makes me feel weak. I think it's great how these old parts of town are getting somewhat of a makeover with a splash here and there of some well placed colors. I believe this town has some type annual contest for artists and the winner is provided with the materials for the artwork. Glad you liked it. ~Sky Link to comment
kcole 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Ahh the attack of the killer McCaw..:) This is very nice, great color, detail, and a very nice crop job, from the looks of the original. Thanks for shairn this piece of art.. Cheers Cole Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Hello Cole. Yes, killer macaw is right. I did believe the woman in the mural was very brave. I'm afraid I would have needed a chair and whip... and ear muffs. Thanks for stopping by and you're welcome. I'm glad you liked it. By the way, the photo in this column is not the original but shows the entire building. I was standing in railroad tracks at a busy intersection to get the main cropped version. Hope you have a good weekend. ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 3, 2006 What a great idea! Too bad it's not in a better part of town where more people can appreciate it. Link to comment
