Goldface II

2nd go at Photoshopping this image! This is a single image, not 2 images combined using layers. The face, which is actually a giant bronze casting, was seperated from the background using a layer mask. The background had a gradient mask applied (from bottom to about 30% up) and radial blur applied. The entire image was converted from grayscale to RGB, and the colour balance of the face changed to provide the gold tone. USM was then applied to the entire image.

Some of the comments have been negative, but I like it. The idea wouldnt have occured to me. I dont know what people expect. Dontlet those comments get you down.

Maybe I should make that 9. It's not my cup of tea (hence the relatively low aesthetics mark), but it certainly is an original and imaginative use of the art of photography (which includes digital photography in my book). Much better than pics of flaking paint.
