Sockeye

Adams River, British Columbia.

Over 1 million sockeye return to this river to spawn.

A simply amazing site. I wish I had a better camera/photos to share.

I like the way the complementary colors play off each other and how the shapes of the fishes bodies seem to be mirrored in the waves. I think the big, dry rock distracts, though, and would be better cloned out.
