Nice shot adam, the rainbow obviously makes it.

I totally agree with you on your comment.

Its the reason I very rarely post or comment on photo.net anymore. There are a lot of idiots here now (that weren't around a few years ago). I mean, I've received ratings of 1 and 1 for photos you yourself have rated 6 and 7.

Sadly the atmosphere on photo.net has taken a massive turn for the worst. I now use other forums, or don't post at all.

Anyway, you can check out my latest stuff at www.fotoz.co.uk because it wont be on here !

And keep the long descriptions going, I say. Its shows the idoits on here how much effort goes into magical images like this one.

You did this on your honeymoon? I hope that your wife is very understanding (I had to learn mine!).

Aniway, this one is really breathtaking! Excellent!

Adam

This by far is the best posting I've seen here in quite sometime. It is the culmination of what great photography is, which for me is capturing the moment.

Congratulations

Hi Adam. It is a gorgeous shot and above all a very special moment expertly captured in testing conditions. The underwater detail is superlative, possibly your reflection is a smidge brighter than the top third but it is a minor quibble and easily remedied if you choose to do so. As for the other stuff, I gave up posting here a while back and gave my reasons for doing so the comments ranged from caustic to supportive.

This image is so amazing. It is beyond words to describe it. But I even more amazed that you took this during your honeymoon. Maybe Nature had given you a beautiful gift for your honeymoon. Thank you for sharing.

Don't care about those idiots.

They just can't stand the fact someone can produce such an amazing work.

The whole rating system on this site is nothing but hopeless :(

This photo is simply spotless.

Congratulations !

My first reaction is jealousy. Beautiful, as are most of the works you show here. Don't stop with your descriptions. I think it adds to the photo. I like to hear what you went through to get the shot. As for the low ratings, I agree. I've gotten 6's and 7's (no friends here, LOL) and the anon ratings of 2's and 3's. Now its not that I mind the low ratings (if desearved) but at least explain why in the comments. Thats what this site is supposed to be about. Again, great work!

Beautiful capture Adam, I love that strong foreground. You captured Minnewanka at a good time. Alberta is my home province, and often as not Minnewanka is pretty silty as I recall. I didn't comment on the landscape version, IMO both are equally very well done. Hopefully you took more shots of western Canada on your honeymoon, I'd look forward to seeing them.

Will this feature in a frame somewhere in your home ?

All the best
