Hi Jacqueline. A delight of sunset. Nice vertical composition with very good silhouettes, colors and clouds. Excellent contrast and good balance. Regards!

PS.- I'll be waiting for your next photos taken during this trip.

Thanks for dropping by and for your comments. This was taken in Key West in the Florida Keys. A beautiful place for a sunset!

Hi Jacqueline. Lovely shot from a lovely location. I love the line of orange reflection on the water that leads the eye directly to the sun. I thought that was the Sebago catamaran (from Key West) when I first viewed this photograph and today I noticed, from a comment above, that this was indeed taken in Key West. Some of the shots that I've posted were from the Sunset Celebration there at Mallory Square. Great place!

Yes, yes...now I know the location of your images! I've only been to the Keys twice and am completely infatuated with the environment....a fabulous place indeed. Nice to see you!

Great shot Jacqueling!!! I have three questions...1. Did you use any particular filters for this shot? 2. I am considering a Rebel XTi, how do you like your XT? and 3. Did the sun "really" hiss when it touched the horizon? :)) Regards...LJ

Nice to see you! I did not use any filters at all for this shot. The colors in the sky were amazingly brilliant. There were only a few moments when the lighting was perfect to catch this.....I never quite heard the sizzle...the sun ducked behind the lowest cloud and everyone nearby began clapping!! (A tradition in Key West at this Sunset celebration!) :-) As far as my XT...I LOVE it! I have only the kit lens and a relatively inexpensive Canon 70-300 but for now, they're fine. The XT has given me excellent clarity and plenty of room to get creative (still working on that...)I highly recommend it or the newer XTi. Good luck with it, worth every dollar!!!!

Still one of my personal favorites from your portfolio...just had to look at it again. (BTW-I did get the XTi--preparing for a trip to Sedona Arizona during week of XMAS--you were right--I love it!!) Regards...LJ
