Shot in late afternoon, very bright sunlight. Handheld @ 1/500. Color, contrast adjusted in PS to match natural light.

Comments, suggestions, ratings appreciated on my take on spring 2002.

I've been taking a lot of daffodils of late, and this one seemed the

most interesting. I was happy with the colors, backlighting, and

semi-impressionistic, watercolor-like effect (natural, not PS, if that

matters) Thanks for your help.

At first I was attracted to the blue hue. When I saw it closer I hmm didnt like it that much. After a couple of minutes of viewing other pics etc, I carefully studied it again and liked it. The blue glass gives an interesting atmosphere. There is also a scratchyness/dirtyness that I like a lot. Is that the glass too?

I think this is a very original and effective treatment of a subject which is often depicted in very banal ways. Good work.

Though I'm not a huge fan of the line going down the middle of the image, but overall I think the effect is really excellent. I apprecaite that it was created in front of the lens rather than in photoshop, and I appreciate seeing an original shot of a fairly common photgraphic subject.
