joshschutz 0 Posted October 17, 2006 by the looks of it, i'm going to guess valmont ponds or somewhere a litttle north. is this a recent photo. i've been away all summer and i'm afraid i've missed the fall change already. i'll be back next week, hopefully theres some color left. i think that the colors in this photo are very striking, but i think the blues may be a bit much. i'd be curious to see this photo in BW with a red filter over it. the yellows and blues would be contrastly different, almost IR. i'll keep an eye out for you. jamesg 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Thanks for your kind comments everyone! Josh, You nailed it! This is at Teller Farm on Valmont. The blue blue sky is due to the polarizer. I probably should tune down the sky... but I liked how it contrasted the cottonwood leaves. I put an pseudo IR version in the same folder. When you get back into town look for a 6'5" guy with the 5D. :^) And, I'm sorry to say, fall colors are about over. We are getting 3 to 4 inches of snow tonite which should strip most of the trees. Thanks again! James Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted March 12, 2007 James, If I were to try to find a favourite of your current offerings this one would surely make the short list. This is simply stunning! The contrasts include both light & dark and also that found in the blue-yellow colour combinations. It cries out to be enlarged & displayed. If there is any fault to be found it would be in the argueably rather tight cropping on the bottom and the sides but with all the pluses going for it this 'fault' can be excused. Best, LM.
