I really like the grain in the sky and the overall feel.

Chaos is a really interesting topic - especially since they discovered its formula. Great topic for a series and opportunity to use sequence and time exposures. Best, john

Thank you John, Chaos is indeed quite an interesting topic; back in the day when I took this picture, I was fascinated by it, even to the point of writing a thorough essay for a class in ?Architectural compositional schemes?. I took several pictures to illustrate some ideas I had, when I rediscovered this one, I though it could be great discussion subject in photonet, and wanted to start a series and post more of them. However, I got caught in other things, and never managed to scan more pictures; now with your input you've made me rethink the idea, and I think that I'll take a dive into my old archives to post some more "Chaotic beauty" in the near future.

Let's see what comes out of it.

 

"Chaotic Beauty", love that phrase and may have to...ahem...appropriate it in the future. It perfectly describes the random forms produced - quite unconsciously - in the name of keeping our increasingly complicated urban grid going. This could easily be Japan.

Thank you Jack, I really appreciate your visit and comment, you dug out one of my personal favorites. Such chaotic order, in this one, that it speaks for itself, and universally so. As you pointed out, this could easily be Japan, or for that matter, almost any other part in the world….so we must keep on looking around carefully, for beauty could be lurking out of the most chaotic of places.
