Typhoon Melenyo had its landfall in Albay, Philippines around 7:30

in the evening of September 27. It brought the whole province into

darkness and somewhat isolated from nearby provinces as landslide,

mudflow from Mayon Volcano was triggered by the heavy rains.

Electrical power was cut-off and a whole strech of houses near the

sea were washed out. The house in this photo tilted on the other

side and the people evacuated to higher grounds and the occupants

were spared.
