Great subject, but I want to crop out the mount on the right which is distractingmy and my eye wants to go to.

I think this is great. I like the open space on the right as it still has some interest and adds to the mood. As a personal thing, I might want to increast the contrast some, but it's nice regardless.

The crop is fine - actually, I think its perfect. This is a great shot - but I would definitely punch up the contrast a bit. Mind you, that would make this a different picture, so may just try it and see if you like it. I can't really tell you what I would do other than in terms of actual printing. Is this ever going to make it to an actual print? I hope so, a little effort in the darkroom would really make this sing.

Peter, I have already printed this particular image, and it does look much better than on the screen. I personally like the softness of the scene without too much contrast... as it better represents what it was like at the time... it was foggy with a light snow falling. If I boosted the contrast, I would loose that mood.
